The project mainly benefits users who want to have access to a global digital currency built on the Stellar network.
Currently REAL8 is not a stablecoin. It does not maintain a stable value by reference to silver, to any currency or to any other asset. It is not backed by reserves, it carries no redemption right and its price floats freely on the open market, so it can go up or down and may lose its value in part or in full. Correlation with the price of silver is a long-term goal of the project, not a current mechanism or a guarantee.

REAL8 is issued on the Stellar network. Transactions settle in about 5 seconds with a fee of fractions of a cent. The REAL8 issuer account is GBVYYQ7XXRZW6ZCNNCL2X2THNPQ6IM4O47HAA25JTAG7Z3CXJCQ3W4CD.
The REAL8 Wallet at app.real8.org is a free, web-based, non-custodial wallet for the Stellar network. It creates a new Stellar account in your browser: the keys are generated locally and never pass through our servers.
Keep your secret key (it starts with S) in a safe place; a password manager is ideal. It is the only way to recover your Wallet if you lose access, and REAL8 cannot recover a lost secret key. Never paste it into any site other than app.real8.org.
On Stellar you need a trustline for any asset you want to hold, so your account needs a REAL8 trustline before it can receive REAL8. The minimum balance of a Stellar account is 1 XLM to activate it, plus 0.5 XLM for each trustline and for each open offer.
Yes. Register a federation address in the Wallet (Settings → Federation) and people can reach you with a memorable name instead of a long G address. The Wallet can also read an address from a QR code.
